Our new design studio in the Oakhurst area of Charlotte is a true reflection of the Bohemian Bungalow Design aesthetic — colorful, layered, eclectic, and ever-evolving. The space was originally occupied by a custom builder, so we were thrilled to inherit some beautiful custom woodworking in the main reception area, which became the perfect foundation for the studio’s design direction.
From there, we layered in bold wallpapers, rich textures, vintage finds, and statement furnishings — including a large burl wood dining table that serves as a gathering space for client meetings, presentations, and project planning. Wendy’s office is a playful mix of cheetah-print chairs, dramatic details, and super fun wallpaper by Christy Stafford, creating a space that feels both inspiring and unapologetically creative.
The hallways were painted in a deep blue-black — a signature Bohemian Bungalow color — while additional wallpapers and design moments are layered throughout the studio to give each room its own personality and story.
Like many creative spaces, the studio is constantly evolving. We are still actively designing and refining it, adding new layers, artwork, furnishings, and collected pieces almost weekly. We’re excited to continue sharing the evolution of this project in our portfolio, but for now, we hope you enjoy a glimpse into the studio and the creative world of Bohemian Bungalow Design.
